I am curious. Can you refinish a bow. I have an old Browning Nomad that I would like to refinish. I am worried about using a stripper to get the varnish off. I assume that it would damage the epoxy or fiberglass backing. Does anyone know of a website or a book that has any info on refinishing bows. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try using 000 steel wool and alcohol to clean off and smooth the glass. Then apply a good quality car wax and see if that helps. I've done that with an old bow of mine and it looked alot better when I was finished waxing it.
