Dead Head Saginaw Bay

There is a log or stump at least a foot and a half to 2 feet around at the top. It sticks out of the water about 6 to 8 inches. If it was rough out I doubt if you would see it. Not sure if it is floating or if it is stuck in bottom. Talked to a guy that said it was 20 foot long, stuck in the bottom and has been there for 2 weeks. The location is: 04347224 08347911. I did report it to the coast guard but who knows if the will do anything about it.

Thanks for the heads-up Skeeter! Was running the Saginaw River on Saturday and with the way low water conditions, MANY new obstacles to be aware of. With the Walleye run just around the corner, keep Your Eyes peeled when running! Checked from the "split" to " Hawg alley" lots of Shad, but no Eye`s yet.

If you head out of Hoyles and point your boat right towards the 1 and 2 bouys you will run pretty close to it. best way is to use the # I posted to be safe. SOON I will have a jug marking it. Problem is I don't want to hang over the side of my boat and put the marker on if I am by myself.

I hit a deadhead in the river a few years ago, and sheared a blade off my prop. Bad experience. Lucky it didn't take the outdrive off.

There is a red soap jug floating on top of the dead head as of today.

I was just going to let you know before you went out by your self to give me a call or something and i would have went out with to get it marked.
