Grandhaven pier

Hit grandhaven pier sunday morning from 3:00am till 10:00 am landed 5 big sheephead:rolleyes: on shad that we caught off the pier had a few other takes on spawn but no hook ups on spawn saw maybe 6 salmon/steelies caught and 1 small sturgoen it was nice to do something different for a change. see ya Larry

Not too bad Larry. Could have been worse, good job using those shad for bait.;) I know a guy who fished there Sat am and he said it was dead. Water is still pretty warm in there. Might be some perch though.

Yes Tim, perch are in close. Two co-workers went out of Grand Haven sunday morning, northwest of the pierhead in 25 fow. Came away 2 1/2 hours later with 50+ perch with the majority being 10+ inches. Also said the trollers were doing fine as they watched several caught nearby. Might have to find the time for some perch action!
