other spices you like.

Mix all ingredients in a bow.

Remove venison mix, thaw, and toss on the grill

Put marinade in a pan and heat

While grilling, pour some honey on the venison

When venison is done to your likeing, pour the heated marinade on the steaks and ENJOY!!

Once again you came thru for me. I did the honey venison and it was grrrrreat! The only things I did different on ingredients was I put in garlic powder(didn't have g/salt) and my venison was frozen so thawed, poured in liquid, pierced meat and let marinade 24hrs. Also I didn't heat marinade as the wife thought it to be risky so I made separate portion to heat and pour over meat. I might of added to much Cajun to the heated sauce as it was a little tangy. But I got 2 thumbs up from the family. Down side VENISON is GONE so I can't wait for October. Thanks again

Doughboy,

I am glad that the recipe worked out well for you. However, it was in the recipe book on this site. In the process of moving everything from the book to these sub-forums, they get listed as a new post.....can't take any credit for that one (and there was no name on the recipe so that we could give credit to its originator.) But that just illustrates the point that we all have excellent ways of preparing our game-meat. When we share them we all benefit.

See ya later.
