St. Joe Report

I fished the St. Joe both on Sunday and today. On Sunday I went 2 for 6 using wooly buggers in natural colors. One fish was 9lb. 2oz. walleye and the other was a 15lb. 1oz. female steelhead. She was a freshy.

Today i went down not expecting much. Boy was i wrong!!! The fish were there and they were biting! I went 4 for 10! 3 male steelies, and 1 female monster pushing 12lb. The fish were hitting flourescent colors and the water was down and up varying depths all day long, so it was quite hard to get the perfect drift. I am heading down there tommorow for more action.

Hey mpsteelheader...where on the joe did you fish? Not exactly where, but general area of river ie. downriver of hospital or up river from hospital?

Where the fish you caught the second day using wooly buggers also? What exactly is a wooly bugger...I got an idea, but not sure. Thanks! good luck and tight lines to ya!
