We started QDM this past fall. We set a points limit and spread limit on our property. No bucks with less than 8 pts and spread must be ear tip to ear tip. This was the first year I had to pass on bucks. I have only shot three with a bow so it was hard for me.
This was the best bow season I have ever had. I shot a doe the second week.We were going to try to take three does off the property this year. We usually don't take any. I saw 12 different bucks after our neighbor shot two off his property! Also saw 7 button bucks. Was not quite sure if some were the same or not until I saw 6 of them the last day of gun season.
With QDM I have had a more enjoyable hunting experience and my hunting time is expanded. I did not take a buck this year but missed a buck of a life time. Would not of had the chance if I would have shot the first one I saw.
