Just returned from another awesome weekend trout fishing! Mike, Sa ultramag (Pat), Pat's son Brian and their friend Dave and I Floated a two day float Sat and Sunday. Camping on the river in the middle of the float was so cool! Saturday I caught a ton of trout...Sunday there was only two trout that I managed to fool and a ton of Smallmouth Bass! Monday saw Mike and I fishing another stretch of river and this was the best day trout fishing for me all year! I must caught over 50 trout and kept 4 for Dinner tomorrow night! Thanks Guys for an AWESOME weekend and it was a pleasure meeting and fishing with you Pat, Brian and Dave! Lets do it again soon..like tomorrow?

I'll let the pics and captions tell the story.

Three days of being a trout bum, and now it's back to work. The weekend went by way too fast, I'm ready to go again. :) Don't tell DryFly, but I think I went way beyond the weight capacity of the 8' boat! Those are just 'guidelines' anyway, right Dave?;)

It's too bad you couldn't join us on Monday Pat. You could have witnessed me find every means possible to lose trout. Knots slipped, leaders broke, line got wrapped around logs... It was pretty comical. Don just kept shaking his head and reeling in the trout. I even tried giving him some dull hooks, but it didn't help.:D ;)

No better way to spend a weekend. Let's go again. Soon. How does the 23rd and 24th look for you guys? :)

I would've loved to have joined you but I had to find a hunting spot for my lazy brother and nephew!!! :D

I'll bet you guys weren't sweating your butts off swating horse-flys!!!

I'm thinking I may have made the wrong call......

Hey MIBIGHNTR, who you calling lazy ? I had to row really hard to find fish.....NOT .

Now, now boys....

Looks like a fun trip. I'll be on that stretch for Labor Day. A few weeks ago, some of the larger eddies had 100+ fish. There must have been cold water springs in them. At dusk, the fish would abandon the eddies and feed on the adjacent flats. What a blast.

Ralph,
It's nice to see that you're still alive and fishing.
