Lake Nepessing in Lapeer

has anyone fished lake nepessing this summer? are the weeds down? last year the weeds were terrible. i live near there but i have not had a chance to get out and go. used to catch nice walleye out there. any information would be appreciated.

Here is some Lk. Nepessing advice.....don't waste your time. I was out there a few weeks ago and didn't land a thing. The weeds are the worst I've ever seen. In the past I've done well on the bass and pike, but the weeds are now making it hard to fish.

How about Late Fall? when the weeds die off?

last winter wasn't too bad out there. we caught walleye everytime we went out. some keepers but most small. in front of the old restaurant. but i thought the weeds were terrible last summer. if they are half as bad as they were, it would be a waste of my time to try and fish it till winter. thanks for the input. much appreciated.

Questions on the walleye fishing..... Have you ever caught any in the summer? Do you ice fish at night? What do you use? I've caught a few in the summer casting cranks. That was when the weeds were lower, and you could cast. I caught them off the beach on the other side of the lake.

It's always been a great lake for bass. Lots to catch.

Went to Nepessing last night after work. There was a notice that they sprayed the lake on 7/30. There was still a ton of weeds and a 1/2 ton of dead weedmats along the shore.
Caught a decent bass through the liliy pads and a dink bass out on the flats.
