Well, finding the lake isn't difficult it's finding the fish that presents a problem. There are a number of areas for public access.... I usally fish the 11 mile to 9 Mile area. I also fish Gino's and Metro Beach periodically. If you give me more specific's of where you'd like to fish I'd be happy to supply you directions...... A good place to get Lake St Clair fishing action information is Lakeside's fishing report. I've found it fairly useful and true. Like any fishing report you do not get specifics just general areas. You have to keep moving until you find the fish. My general rule is 20 min max.. if I'm not catching any fish I'm drilling new hole..... The number for the report is 810-777-7008.
