I've heard mixed reports on michigan water eyes lately.
We're planning on heading out sun. morning from boles and was wondering if the early summer locations are still producing.
Ie. River Raisin/brest bay/stoney pointe or the fermi area.
Thanks for the info.:)

Fished straight east out of Luna Pier last night after work. Picked up 4 nice eater walleyes trolling chrome hot-n-tots with blue back and bloddy nose in 13 fow. Marked quite a few fish but the bite was pretty slow. There was one other boat trolling the same area and saw them net a couple of walleyes, too.
Pulled lines about 8:15 and took a ride to the south and marked a lot of fish in 15 fow between Turtle Island and 3 stacks. Too late to check them out but looked promising. The water is stained but not muddy which is normal for that area this time of year. I am going out after work again tomorrow and planning to go out Saturday morning and will try to get a report for your Sunday trip.

if you launch at bolles harbor, you will only have a few minute ride to the luna pier area.
not sure of a public ramp in luna pier, i have always used bolles myself.

There is a city ramp and the ramp at the Luna Pier Harbor Club (marina). They are both $7.50/day or $50/year. Permits for the city ramp have to be purchased at the city hall or police station and I wouldn't try to launch anything bigger that 18' there as the channel is not very deep or wide. The marina dredges their channel to the lake so no problems there.

Turtle Island and 3 stacks are south of Bolles Harbor. 3 Stacks is the power plant just south of Luna Pier. Turtle Island is SSE of the power plant 2 or 3 miles. You can't miss it once you get down by Luna Pier which has the blue water tower.

We where down that way last weekend, site seeing for the wife. Probably 2 or 3 miles off shore. Kinda shallow in that area. Didn't really notice an island, I'll try again tomorrow, I get to fish this time.
Thanks for the info.
