Anybody have this strange problem that I have? I already have leases with a couple other guys on a large forest area by my cottage. And one of the guys is a farmer so we all can hunt his farm whenever.
Well today I get a call from a friend of the family that he wishes that I would hunt his land in the thumb. It happens every year like this too, but I think we might take him up on it.

A problem I have in the fall is too many hunting and fishing seasons are open at the same time and when I have a day to go it's hard to decide. It was easier when I only hunted waterfowl and deer, I'd hunt ducks when it rained and get the bow out on nicer days.
Finding a place to hunt is always a challenge, but I've found that some state land is almost deserted during the week.

I have suffered through the same problem for the past several years. I have so many acres to hunt I neglect some of the hunting property. I found a couple friends to help me out. Well it worked for a short while. Now I have found a deer hunting forest that hasnt been hunted for the last 20+ years. It is the first and only woods that doesnt have a single tree stand. Not even a ladder stand rotting away. It looks like the deer have known about it for years. When I tracked a wounded buck into it last season I was shocked to find such a new honey hole. The neighbors son told me about a huge buck that is using this woods. He said it is the biggest he ever saw. Well I'm planning on hunting it this season. With all the sign in this woods I wont be hunting it long. Might have a couple extra stands for the farm hands to use. It is a river bottom woods. Just what I like to hunt.
