tough evening on the lake, but beautiful nonetheless. we fished a local lake located in the pickney recreation area for some bass. weather held off for us and the lake was like glass most the evening. other than that little to speak of for fish ,bites were few and far between. scott ran a black and silver rapala most the evening and landed one decent one pictured below. i jumped around on bait started with a scumfrog , nothing, switched to a carolina rig running a pumpkinseed salamander and quickly picked up our first bass. thought that was gonna be the ticket for the bite, we were on a sharp dropoff right off shore and figured this would get the bait down there, but it only produced one bass for me. finally switched to a fire tiger floating rap and picked up my one bass pictured. my dad also made it and landed a few smaller ones on a simple hook and crawler. thanks for making it over this way scott always fun to fish with ya!!! hope i get that book you got for casting soon;) !!!LOL

Scotty, you've been turning into a Bass Fisherman of late. You must be bored of catching them eye's huh? :p

Nice fish guys. Wish I could have gotten out this weekend. Might take the whole family out next weekend if the weather is right. I got a lead on a possible hot spot for perch. I'll keep you posted if I do any good.

I agree Kroppe, what do you have to do to get a smile out of that guy?

Big Kenny: I don't know how I keep catching these funny looking walleye with big round mouths....its the weirdest thing I'll tell ya.

Good day on the water of course, thanks for taking me out in the new vessel ozzgood. And put that planer mast back in.....and don't worry, with enough practice, you'll be able to cast (or tangle) someday just like me.
