I posted this below under my "It's done" thread. Just thought some who missed it or saw it earlier might be interested. Check out the "It's done" thread for pictures and more info. There seem to be a few people interested, so...

Budster and I are talking about a camera demo outing at Stony creek this weekend. If you would like to come out and see how the LunkerCam2 we built works, let us know when is the best time for us to meet out there. I'm thinking the middle lake would be best, as it sounds like it has the best ice and the most fish concentration. We will definitely make more cameras to sell if there is interest. We may even have one for sale that day. See you out there!

Best Regards,
Byron

Byron, I'll see if i can make it and bring my camera to compare side by side. What type and size monitor are you using. How do you carry everything? Did you make a box or put everything in maybe a duffle bag?

Byron, I'm very much interested in lunkercam 2 but don't know where Stoney creek is at.

Drake,

Stony Creek Metropark is on 26 Mile Rd. West of Mound Rd. in the Rochester area. If you can't make it, no problem. E-mail me any questions you might have. I'll do everything I can to capture some more video and screenshots from the camera. It's really a lot of fun to use. Talk to you later.

Best Regards,
Byron

Budster and I will be out on the Middle lake at Stony off of the Ridgewood area tonight around 5. I'll have my radio on channel 5. We'll have the camera going, so come on out and see it if you get a chance.

Best Regards,
Byron

Those guys were having so much fun screwing around with that camera, they forgot to fish! I could of done better, but it was fun watching them! The camera performed well, you got to be in a dark shanty to really see the monitor well. Ice was safe wed. nite, 7" of good ice, but its disapearing slowly.

Okay, Drake.

We got everything set up about 5:30 last night. The water was a little cloudy, and the camera visibility was about 6 ft. We could clearly see quite a few fish swimming around the waxie we had on a teardrop. Mostly bluegills, a couple perch and crappie. Nothing very big, but it was a lot of fun watching. Got to see one bluegill take a minnow off the hook. Didn't catch anything, but had a great time. We were actually laughing at ourselves having so much fun watching the fish not bite! Around dark, visibility dropped off to about a foot or two. Overall, the camera worked really well and we can't wait to build & test more! We plan on being back out on the main lake this weekend, hopefully Saturday. We should have two more cameras built by then. See you out there!

Byron

Byron, on my camera when it gets dark, I shut mine off and then turn it back on. It resets itself for darkness. Don't know if yours would also do that but try it. I have'nt had it out at nite yet, but thats what the instructions says.

I'll try that Mike, thanks.

The camera seems to adjust itself for brightness, but that may help.

Hope to see you out on the lake this weekend.

Byron
