Back out to the firecracker this morning but not the same results as Monday. Only 2 walleye and a few small perch. By 830 there was about a dozen boat anchored around, saw quite a few perch being caught. Nice calm morning but alot of bugs.

The floating weeds are not a problem in that area. I think the current keeps it clear .
Talked with a friend and they have been doing pretty well with the crawler harnesses off 10/11 mile in 12-16ft.

I think I trolled right by the fire cracker a few days ago. Is it located in the South channel up from the St. Clair light maybe 3-4 miles? I would like to do some perch fishing this weekend and so any producing locations are always enjoyed. We did good around the St. Clair Light in the past but I thought it was later in the year. Thanks and I will post results after I go out.

You got it, right at the mouth of the cutoff. Also heard a few good reports off 9-10 mile road in the same 13-16ft range for walleye.

Fished at the firecracker wednesday caught 9 eyes between three guys with about a dozen nice perch. Gold was the hot color the bugs sucked but, the fishing was good had to use the trolling motor since there was no wind

Where u out on the AM or PM. I was out 630 - 830, might have crossed each others paths.
Gold has been good for me too. The muskie on Monday was on lemon and red.
