Spring Lake

I hear about some nice stringers of bass coming from ledges on spring lake but where are these located or how do i go about finding these schools of fish? What depth would be appropriate for fishing spring lake besides pounding the docks? I'm looking to put together an open water pattern and I could really use some advice. thanks
