Mitch and I had a great day on the lake. Started off trolling large shiners and caught about 10 smallmouth to 3 pounds. Switched over to muskie trolling and caught the biggest pike I ever caught 18-20 lbs. Switched over to perch and caught a dozen or so to 13 inches.

I love that lake:D

Downrod, where abouts did you get that pike? Nice work!

Picked it up on a downrod east of the channel about half way between the firecracker and the Saint Clair Light.
Awesome fish. I'd guess about 45" with big shoulders. She's still there.

Nothing like the week. No weekend warriors to contend with. Looked like a nice day from my window at work. :) :)

Great day! I don't think you would have gotten me off the muskie leg of the trip after that Pike, thats a big Northern for July.

The smallies were caught in 16 ft. of water in front of the 400 club.
could have caught many more. They are in there thick. All nice fish. No real hogs but nice healthy fish in the 2-3 pound range. There are some huge perch in that area also but don't tell anyone

DownRod, Nice Pike! What was the length of the Pike, any measurement?

I didn't take it out of the water to measure it.
I'm guessing 45 inches.
