I currently have a Hummingbird Wide 100 on my new to me Trophy. I haven't had any luck getting it to work properly and am thinking of replaceing it. Any suggestions on a depth finder in the low o mid-price range?
Thanks
Rick

when it comes to sonar units i would spend all the money you can. look for the most power and pixels you vcan afford. i recommend going with a lowrance x-97, cost around 399.00. this unit is a 3000 watt peak to peak unit. if you are fishing the big lakes in deep water you will need the power. otherwise the eagle 320 for 218.99 is a good unit and the x-87 at 289.00 would be somewhere in the middle.

I second the X-97. I've got one. Great unit. Lots of power, great returns.

I have a lowrance x-91 that I'm getting ready to sell if you are interested. I've had it on my boat for 1 year now, but am upgrading to a bottomline with gps. Let me know if you are interested.

kkirkens,
just curious why you would go from a lowrance to a bottomline?

Looks like he wants gps. Thanks for the offer of the x-91. I'm still shopping. What price are you asking?

I like the idea of having the sidefinding along with the regular sonar on the bottomlines. I also like the gps built into the unit too. The unit I'm looking at is 5200 watts also, so it has plenty of power. I paid $449 for my x-91 last year because I couldn't afford the $1100 for the bottomline. I still can't afford the bottomline, but I'm gonna get it anyways.:D As for the price on mine, I'm looking for $250 obo.

I purchased a Raytheon L365 and it works great. I first had a Hummingbird and then a Eagle but I like the Garmin features the best. This unit is under $200.00 and it has the speed and temperature. I found that on a lot of other brands you have to send away for the speed and temperature this unit had it packed right in. Thanks Baydog
