Dove Hunting season Needs Your Help

I have been in contact with Susan Tabor (Michigan House of rep) warrior71@comcast.net about
proposing another Dove season this is her response.

"I agree. Its a great outdoor shooting sport for disabled and kids too!
If you would like to help Dean, get other sportsmen like yourself to let me
know their thoughts! If I get some support - I may just try again.

Just sent her a letter. I always wonderd why we don't get to shoot at these birds. They are so plentifull here in Michigan and they are going to be shot at by all the hunters from the other states anyway, plus they are delicious:). Thanks for the link Dean. I hope it goes through this year. Let us know if you find anybody else out there who should hear our voice.

A dove season. Yes please! Now don't get me wrong I love to hunt pheasants and pats but I live in the thumb where the pheasant hunting is suppose to be th best in the state. That may be true if you go to a farm and spend 12 dollars a bird but the wild ones are in the corn and there really isn't a overpopulated number of them. However I do beleive I could use a couple boxes daily on those quick flying doves. The stories I have heard about pheasants back in the day sound great, but if I am going to do a full day of walking I want to also have a sore shoulder at the end of it. Bring on dove season!..

My e-mail is on the way. My Representative (Julie Dennis) royally Pi$$ed me off on the last dove bill. She said she had more mail against than for. I support this 100%, but I won't be holding my breath. After all, they are so pretty at the bird feeder :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

was at my local wal-mart last night and saw something that might be of interest to you guys.......they are selling dove decoys!!!

Just heard from her that she has had over 100 e-mails but needs many more. If the anti's were trying to take away our Dove season we would all be upset. Well it is time that we get back a privilege to hunt Doves if we want. Please e-mail Susan Tabor your support for a Dove season here is her e-mail. warrior71@comcast.net just tell her we want the privilege to have the chance to hunt these great birds. Dean Sova
