Willie Planer Board Reels: Good Reels with a clutch. The clamps are a little complex, but solid. One has a crack which has been repaired with epoxy, it is very solid still. These are a good set of planer reels to get you started. $55.

A few questions.
Are these easily removable when not in use?
How do they mount to the siderails of a boat?
I am interested but I am concerned that they won't fit in the limited space I have on the siderails of my 16ft boat.
Could you give me an idea of the "footprint" needed to mount and operate these?
