"The Shoe-man" and I hit the Muskegon today at Croton dam, then moved to the bridge in town. Very - Very windy!!! 50 degrees at 7:00 am and by 10:00 am it was only around 40 degrees and dropping. We managed to find a few fish. Mostly rainbows and small browns, but, Ole Ralf landed a nice 6 lb female that had been in the river about a month or so. We saw about 6 steelies landed, but no fresh ones. Considering the amount of rain lately, the water level was around normal or slightly high, but very fishable.
Stopped off to the Rogue to get a report....Nothing happening at the dam. The guys there said only one fish was landed that morning.
Thanks Ralf for the fun day fishing new waters (for me). Have fun with that new fishin stick you purchased (I tried to talk you out of it...ha ha).
