We went to the mouth of the detroit river-slightly out in the lake. It started HOT, picking up a few eyes in spurt. The storms were crazy around us!!!! First, there was the one on monroe, then, a small shower, with a few sprinkles went overhead, then, right when it hit the big lake, exploded, with heavy rain and lighning!!! It put on a good lightning show for us about 2 miles away. We were going to sugar island to take a break Then, a heavy t-storm, with lightning, came over head, so, we took refuge on sugar island for about 40 minutes. Then, went to the sugar island channel(west side), and, picked off the rest we needed for a limit. We were only fishing for about 2 hours, got soaked to the bone 3 different times, but, the fishing was HOT!!!!Most were caught on matty joe harnesses, a couple were caught on gold erie dearies.

Yeah, i know, we seen you there. We were fishing right around the #10 bouy. Then, at the end, the #2 bouy, but, we weren't getting a drift, so, we didn't get anymore. We were the 19' white, fiberglass boat, wit 3 ppl in it. WOW, ur lucky, by the end of that last heavy shower, our boat had so much water in it, whenever we got up on plain, our front would go WAY up, and stay there for a minute or two, and the back was only inches above the water, and, it was running very slow. When we pulled the plug, man, it was just shooting out water for several minutes!!! O well, it was worth the walleye dinner we got;)
