I must be doing something wrong. my boat well is out of fair haven. so i need some fishing spots in that area.
5 times out fishing catching only 1 fish is pretty bad.
fishing for walleye and perch, i can only drift or anchor as i have a 26" boat, will be getting a trolling motor next summer.
gps location or aproximate area would be much appreciated.
thanks

smooth, which areas are you fishing on the north side of the lake? Though I don't know the north side very well, if it was me that was going to try that area, I would be fishing the channel and its edges since the main waters are shallow. This is just a guess on my part, for that area. If you can get your boat to troll down to 1-1.5 mph you should be ok running harnesses. If it will not, then try running some hot-n-tots or warts since they run well around 2-2.5. Just be sure to look for areas that don't have weeds coming up high off of the bottom, or you will be cleaning hooks all the time.
my .02 trying to help out.

Hey smooth, get a chart and find the area known as the strawberry bar, it is a transition area from 4 to 9 feet of water. It is off Strawberry island. This is a known musky spot, so logic would dictate that there other creatures in there as well. also run only one motor and toss a sea anchor over the side to get yourself slow. a big sea anchor will really slow you down. the channel mouths and edges of same are the place to be now that the weeds are up and so is the water temp. change places often, vary techniques..you'll get on top of 'em..andy

O.K. smooth, I re- sent it. There's a nice feature that you may not know about. You can recieve an e-mail notification whenever you recieve a PM, or when your PM box is full, the site will let you know that also.....There's no advertising or junk mail involved with this feature. Go to Control Panel, Edit Options, Send you an email when you receive a Private Message? click Yes.................
Good luck fishin'
