Howdy gents!

I'm kind of a newbe to this forum, so I would like to introduce myself. I spend every second I can out on the pond, or mostly in the channels around Harsens. I am an avid musky hunter, but enjoy targeting all species. In a typical year, I spend the winter/spring steelheading, the last three weeks of June musky fishing, July and August walleye/perch. Sept. salmon. October/Nov. back to the muskies when I am not duck hunting.
I have a problem. Its been five days since my last Musky outing. I try to take it "One day at a time" but its getting bad. I have had a banner year trolling the channel banks. (12 ski's up to 46 inches), but the weedbeds have grown up, and I've got to get back out in the lake.
My question is about American waters, west of the shipping channel. Does anyone have any input about success trolling this bank? I've been out there maybe four times, and I am reekng like a skunk! Would I be better off not trying to hug this bank, and working a specific depth? Still looking for my first 50+

Thanks guys!

Welcome Scale! You might want to try the East side of the channel by the mouth of the South Channel. There isn't a lot of US water there but there are some good skis to be had at times. I like the tainted water but if it's pretty clear, right a dusk is a good time too. Off the spillway goes on occasion too but I like the other spot better, Good luck in your quest for that 50+!

We have taken quite a few short evening trips for walleye the last few summers...just motoring down near the dumping grounds and trolling upstream on the channel bank. We hooked lots of Muskies on Hot-N-Tots and shad raps. Nothing in the 50" range though.
