coyotes in the shotgun zone

I've heard you can hunt coyote with rifles in the shotgun zone. is this true or false?

The answer is yes. Obviously, care and safety needs to be taken. There are specialty small caliber, high velocity rounds that disintigrate upon impact leaving little chance for richochet.

Recure is correct the only time you can not use a rifle in the shotgun zone is during firearm deer season, Nov 10 - Nov 30.

All other game and other dates you can use a rifle unless the particular game is probibited like turkey, muzzleloader, etc. You also can not use a rifle at night.
