while out hunting rabbits today I came across a wild boar! Not a farm raised domesticated pig but a hair down the middle of its back wild boar. Then to top things off, when up in the front of the woods I saw another smaller one. The property I hunt is private and I do not own it but I have permision to hunt it (about 260 acres) The only thing that I can possibly think of is that they got loose from Ted Nugents sunrise acres. But that is about 10 miles away. My question is can I shoot one? and what should I do? They are deffinatly wild boar from some type of hunting preserve but they are running wild in my hunting grounds. thanks in advance.

You are correct, they are obviously from some game ranch. Michigan's hunting laws do not cover boars so you can take them at any time. I guess what I would do is contact the ranch, ask them if the are missing any boars. They will likely say no because they will not want to say they have let some escape. After they say no, I would tell them OK, you thought you seen two boars about 10 miles away but if they have non that got loose.... Main thing is so they do not have anymore getting loose.

After informing them, I think I would then harvest it.
