I know a lot of you guys are against taking a muskie out of the lake for mounting, but I want to put a fish on the wall and I want it to be THE fish that I catch. I only plan on mounting one in my lifetime and the idea of a replica on my wall while the rest of you guys are out there after MY fish ;) just isn't appealing to me. So I have the following questions:

If I don't have a livewell big enough, how do I keep the ski in the boat? Do I need to stop fishing and head in right away?

What do I do when I get home if I don't have a freezer big enough?

Should I avoid keeping a ski with muskie pox or a lot of lamprey wounds? Can the taxidermist fix the wounds or will they show up on the mount?

Any recommendations on a taxidermist with experience mounting skis?

TIA.

I would contact Dan at Dans Taxidermy, he is a member here ( DZTaxidermy) and very knowledgeable about mounting fish and taking care of them after the catch.

Here is a link to his website
