question about trapping

boehr I would like to thank you for answer are questions. my question is if I float a stream or river and trap in the water(muskrat,mink) do I need land owner permission?what about under bridges and culverts under public roads? thanks carl

Yes, you need permission, hunting and trapping are riparian rights. Property owners pay taxes to the center of the road. The only difference roads over public waters make is for fishing or boating and that's only if the water is navigable.
