Sterling State Park question

Will my "boat ramp" sticker get me into Sterling (like it does at Bolles), or do I have to purchase a "state Park" sticker to get in.

Never used it before, but was thinking about heading up there and saving the drive on the water.

i am pretty sure that you will need a seperate sticker for each park. you can check at the gate when you arrive, or get there before 5 a.m., and be there before the booth is open.

it is only $4 for a daily pass, and i believe it is $24 for an annual.

Buy the sticker Jay, at $24.00 for the sticker versus $40.00 a trip in that gas guzzler Merc its cheap. where you been?

I'm back........and ready to fish!! I'll be down there Sunday and Monday.

I have the sticker for Bolles, but I know that Sterling is a park AND a boat ramp, so I was just curious if I needed the other one just to use the boat ramp.

You are correct Jay. You will need both the ramp and the state park sticker. They did let me in once with just the ramp sticker, but the second time I was told that I needed the park sticker as well.

I've launched there a bunch of times, the gate attendant waves me through with my park sticker. Never been asked/told anything about a launch sticker.

Ever get a ticket out at North lake? I have only fished that lake about 5 times but I once got a ticket for just having a ramp pass and not a park pass. I just must be lucky I guess. At Portage you need the launch pass but don't need a park pass. I have both now.

No tickets at North Lake. I have a State Park annual sticker so it seems that suffices.
