This question is for boehr. When hunting coyotes with a call in Michigan, is hunter orange required? I've read the guide cover to cover and the only thing I can find is on page 12 and it lists the exceptions to the hunter orange requirements. If I'm reading this right when calling fox or coyotes we still need to be wearing orange? Is this true or just an oversight when developing the guide. I can see the need for the hunter orange when hunting coyotes/fox/bobcat with hounds but not when your chasing them one on one trying to soundlike their next meal.

Check the post by trappercarl in the General Hunting Forum (I gotta question for Boehr). I moved it to the top so it is easy to find.

Email your senator. There are quite a few guys at this site that believe that this is an oversight and can be easily ammended.

Maybe Steve will move it since it is back at the top.

There is an interesting article (with a picture) in this months "Woods & Waters News" about coyote CALLING in Michigan and the suggested outerwear required to be successful.
