Friday and Sunday night I fished the Hex hatch, for the first time, on the Manistee. It was very excitiing with those huge may flies flying around and the fish rising all over the place.

Both nights the hatch started around 9:30 p.m. and ended around 11:00 p.m. Do they only hatch once a night or can they hatch several times during the night.

Yes,
Depending on the weather you can have more than one hatch per night. More often what will happen though is a spinner fall in the evening hours like you fished then the hatch will come off sometime later that night, sometimes as early as 11-12:00 or as late as 4-5 AM. Ya just never know.

Thanks mickey, I will try. Looks like you had yourselfe a pretty nice season this last week from the pic's on Don's thread. Hope you left a couple in there for me.;) I staked out a few hogs durring the brown drake hatch that I either couldn't move, or missed. Headed out in the mornin'. Should be a fun five days.
