We are looking to go out of either Grindstone, Harbor Beach or Port Sanilac tomorrow. Launching at 5am. Still don't know for certain whether we have an opening. Partner still has not heard back from his brother yet. Let me know if you may be interested. I've got an 18' Crownline and it fishes best with three.

Well, my partner's brother is busy so as of now we have an open seat if you're interested.

If only playing hooky was an option I'd be there Tech. Work is a must being the holiday week. Good luck and give us a report, I'll be out there on Wednesday if the lake gods allow.

Morning Keith
How did you guys do yesterday?
I'm heading to Erieau tonight, taken my son, my buddy and his son.
My brother in law is on leave from Guatalata Bay, so I'm taking him and his son to P.A. Thursday. Hope the fish coop.
I'll let you know how we do.

Ended up going out of Port Sanilac. Yesterday was pretty slow. We didn't mark a single fish while trolling. We did mark a fair amount of bait in the 105-110's. We made our first pass north in 85-90 FOW nothing. I pointed the boat East and headed to deeper water in hopes of marking fish. We started marking the bait at 103 and stopped marking bait at about 120. We picked up a 4# LT in 110FOW on a High Diver set on 5 150 feet back with a #4 Firetiger J Plug. We continued out almost to the second shipping lane 155 FOW marking nothing. So we turned to head back to the bait. We started marking bait again but the sun was getting high and the bait was hugging the bottom. We passed another boat and watched them net a nice size King in 110 FOW. We picked up a small king a few minutes later on a Mag Green Dolphin 10 colors on the Leadcore. I have to check to make sure but I believe we were about 7 miles north of the harbor at that time. We headed north a short ways then turned south and trolled the first shipping lane nearly all the way back to the harbor. We had a decent King hit a Low Slide Diver with a 70 ft lead running at about 45ft on a Mag Pink Alewive, but my partner lost it by not keeping the rod tip up. I started pulling lines at 1pm then my partner noticed a freighter headed north in the first lane. We decided to put the lines back out and fall in behind the frieghter. We picked up a 7# LT on the low Slide Diver with a 70ft lead running about 50 down with a Mag Pink Alewive. With that fish we called it a day at 2pm. Very few boats out. We were the only ones at the launch at 5am. There were maybe a dozen trailers there when we pulled our boat out. My buddy left his knife set in the bed of my pickup while we were out. It was gone when we got back to the launch.
