My partner and I picked up about 20 eyes today while fishing the MWT on Lake Erie, one of which was just over 8 pounds. We were about 2 to 4 miles north of the island running Deep Little Rippers 60 to 90 feet back and trolling between 1.8 and 2.3 mph color of the rippers didn't seem to matter much as all were producing fish, if I had to pick one I'd say confusion caught the most and for sure the biggest;) right cuz....?

Sounds like a fun day ! How did you in the tournament ? I fished out by the lighthouse spot and caught a few fish- big fish was 5 lb 5 oz. When I got to the ramp there was a silver bass that it had spit up that was as long and tall as a dollar bill. Ran tots 80 back -gold w/red lip (double downer) The only place we caught fish was where the weeds were on top. that stunk !

We also fished Saturday north and east of the island in 31 fow. We picked up a two man limit by 11:30 am using bb and spinners drifting. The drift seemed perfect until about 11:00, then we had to start the small motor for the last two. Our largest was 23" and the DNR weighed it at 4lbs. We had the lines out 46 ft on the counters in 30-31 fow with 3 oz. BB's. Best color was a glow white with green dot. Biggest fish was caught on silver with black dot. We saw quite a few boats netting fish and we were surprised when we got in that we had the first limit according to the DNR checking the boats. I knew the MWT guys wouldn't be in until 2:00 or later and we were hoping to get in so we wouldn't have to wait. The water was much cleaner to the north.

We had good days in that same area both Sat and Sunday and limited out both days. We got ours trolling stinger scorpion spoons on slide divers out 65 on 3-1/2, riggers on the bottom and tot's on boards with 1oz and 2 oz snap weights in front of them. Had 2 kids on board Sunday and they had a blast.
