I have never heard or read of anyone catching Walleye on Erie at night, does it happen, if so, where, what, when, how???

I've done it, but it has been a few years. I drifted so as not to spook them, and to slow down my presentation, and fished up off of bottom figuring the feeders would be closer to the surface. I would use flatfish(a good slow speed lure, with lots of action), tipped with a half of a crawler(a charter trick) so as not to disrupt the action, and vary the weight and distance behind the boat. Some nights were good, some not so good, but usually the overall size was larger.

when I fish Erie on weekends alot of time I'll stay out a hour two past dark to let the launch ramp die down ,have done real well at times in dark.In late fall I have fished after dark and takan some monster walleye in tight.
