me and my buddy hit the chippewwa river between merdian and 8mi. road west of midland this morning in 3 hours time my buddy caught and released 19 smallies biggest being 19" i caught 11 smallies my bigggest being just over 17" and 2 suckers all were caught on either floating rapalas or 1/4 ounce leadhead jigs with white twister tails.

Good job skinne!!!! The chip is a very excellant smallie fishery. Did you guys float it?

i havent floated it in a few years theres a couple of holes upstream from merdian that are really deep for the chip that we always have good luck normally we get a few walleys or pike in that strech but all smallies today.plan on hitting it again this weekend
