there are hundreds of soft plastics to use for bass. What is your favorite to use?

my all time favorite is the Bass Assasin 7" worm in a Junebug color....I have ONLY seen and got these at Meijers.

Oh yeah, they are garlic flavored, and man can you smell them when you crack the bag open!!

Kelley's Plowjockeys (prerigged) are responsible for two of my largest bass to date.

Favorite soft plastics are:

Kalins salty grubs 5"
Slug-o 6"
Mann's Augertail 8"

Yea I love the 10" sluggo and 12" fin-s for musky, but I dont know of many lakes around here where there are bass that could eat em!

Got a nice follow out on Thornapple on an emerald fin-s a few days ago. I havent boated a musky in 45 days, im dying here. Tonight is the night, i hope!

Not to hijack this thread, but do you run any kind of trailer hook on the fin-s or slug-os esox? Ive seen a lot of guys that run a treble for a trailer on them. Im always a little skeptical of getting a good hookset with those things rigged texas style. You ever have any problems hooking up with them?

Yamamoto Senkos, Hula grubs, grubs
Zoom super flukes
Berkley power worms
Zoom Super Chunk and super chunk jr trailers (and Bass stalker trailers)
Just bought some Yodo's to try on LSC, I'll let you know if they are any good.

Oh yeah - Mizmo tubes.

I have run a treble trailer, but it kills the action too much IMHO. If I think they are so neutral or negative a trailer is in order, I'll usually drop down to a 10 or 8" bait. I usually rig them Texposed, they are pretty darn weedless that way, but you can still nail most of the hits. One trailer that works well on a lot of the bigger plastics is to use a 4/0 with the horshehoe weedguard, just barely hook it in the plastic, and rig it to the main hook with a piece of sevenstrand. Leave some slack in the wire so the lure can work well.

Mann's Draggin finess worm on a 3/16 or 1/4 oz jighead. Alewife, sand or green pumpkin colors. This is a great bait when they are feeding on minnows.

5" Assasin Shad in Golden Shiner or white.

Berkley power grubs in white, black and pumpkin. Usually rigged on a 3/16 oz roadrunner jig head.

To tell you the truth, I am not a big bass fisherman. I prefer walleye. Plus my wife would probably have a fit. :) I only fish this lake over Memorial day with my wife's cousin. So far, it is the biggest we have ever landed. We did have one on a few years ago that we got to the boat and it looked like it could have gone 7 or 8 pounds easily.

Hey dayooper .... Nice fish

I couldn't even begin to list all the soft plastic baits I use.
Man, I have a bunch. At times i think I could open a small tackle store :)
My faves by far are the Berkley Power bait and Yamamoto Senko's
I was in Quitman, Tx. last Sept and spent about*cough* *cough*
*Looking over shoulder for wife*
$300 on all kinds of baits, mostly senkos.
He has quite the shop there, they treat you right too.
I got about $50 in freebies and a shirt.($45 shirt) $15
Berkley I have probably three times that many.
I have some that a guy hand pours for me.
Some really cool colors schemes.
