Devils Lake, Lenawee County

Trying to find out if anyone has been fishing Devils Lake in Lenawee County and how they have been doing and about where on the lake. Any info appreciated.

I have been out on Round, but not on Devils lately. Generally, they pretty much run the same for whats hitting and whats not. Last week we had a bass tournament on round, and only 18 fish were caught by 40 anglers!! The water was still a little cold for what most people like to see for active bass. It has warmed up considerably since then, so they might have turned on by now.

Most of the teams gave up by early afternoon and started fishing for crappie and gills, just for something to catch! They did great on those species. Most were caught on the edge of the weedbeds, right at the transition to the sand.

I didn't fish the tournament, but did get out looking for some eyes. I had several followers up to the boat, but could not get them to take anything. They were interested in all I had to show them, but just looking.

I hear the jet skis are the most popular species on Devils this year:D

Fishing was hard. Still not many bass showing up and did not have very good luck with anything. Drifted different areas of the lake looking for bluegills and could mark fish but couldn't get them to hit anything. Will try agian next weekend.
