Lost rig on Old Mission Peninsula....

Was fishing carp off Old Mission Peninsula north of Traverse City and had to leave in a hurry. In the process I put my rod on the car rack until I got out of my waders and guess what....forgot about. Wondering if anyone maybe spotted it?

Fortunately it wasn't the expensive stuff:

I was up there this past weekend and didnt see your rod, but was wondering about the carpfishing? Any luck? I was walking the beach near glen arbor and witnessed a few carp swimming in the shallows right off the beach. At first I thought, maybe it was a salmon or steelie, but then realized what they were. I would like to know how you approach those monsters without spooking them in that clear water.
