I went out fishing today and caught some of the biggest sunfish and gills I've ever caught. They were all between 9-10 inches and had great color. I let them go so they could lay their eggs. I also caught a bunch of Rock Bass and I caught one fish that was shaped like a Rock bass but had the coloring of a bluegill. I'm thinking it's a hybrid. Anyone else ever see this? Shane

Probably a warmouth. People often mistake them for gills, but they are a species of thier own.

Jigworm nailed it.
I took one on, of all things, a 1/2oz spinner at Flat Rock yesterday. The fish wasn't that big, but he had a lot of fight in him.
