I have to admit I haven't hit it as hard as I would like to, but what I have noticed is not as many fish this spring/early summer.

Anybody else seeing this? I have been hitting limits of panfish but not that many bass/pike?

Anybody else having better luck then me?

during the 2 weeks prior to this hot weekend the bass on my lake were shut down and slow to strike, but tonight i went out and did well on orange/chrome hot'ntot, 10 Lm and 5 over 16". I havent been able to find a single pike, Im not sure if there in the lake I fish. The weather is doing strange things to all the fish lately. :)

Pike, Bass, Bluegills, Salmon, all seem to be on the bite good this year. But I cant get a good Musky bite going to save my life. 44 days since the last one. :(

No, this has been a great year for almost everything so far. The bass on inland waters has been slow, but,on the river, and erie, man, it has been hot, and they are big this year, i been seeing some 7-8 pounders this year!!!!!! The walleyes have been very hot, if anyone went for smallies, they would be hot, perch is very hot, and is goingt o get alot hotter, this is a great year, and is only going to get better. This is going to be the best perch year ever, and one of the best smallie years in a long time, same with eyes(not size, but quanity), so, no, this year is gona be hot, at least for erie/det river, and st.clair.

Gills haven't even bedded up in my area yet. The bucketmouthes just left their beds a week ago or so.

With how quickly it's getting hot I'm expecting they'll be bedded up by this weekend in mass. Of course, I've been wrong before.

Fishing has been slow upto last weekend (havent gone since).
The water temp on two Med. sized lakes last week was only 64 deg. (last year at this time it was 76 deg on the same lakes) I'm sure now with the sun and higher air temps, fishing should get back to normal real quick.

fishing has been great for me. been doing great for bass all year. So I am not complaining and a few of my up north secret little pike honey holes are producing like usuall with my last trip there last week producing 13 pike none to big but one 30 incher none the less a fun top water bite was going.

Bass fishing continues to be slower than normal for me.

Fished last Tuesday and Wednesday and both days caught about half the number of largemouths that would be typical for the middle of June.

Went river fishing for smallies tonight for about 90 minutes and again had less action than "normal".

I would guess that the next several days of hot weather is going to have a positive affect?

Took my first warm water trip of the year last weekend - ordinarily poor scheduling on my part but with this years weather it was great. Bay City area, worked a Mepps #2 (rainbow trout blade) from shore on Saturday for great sized gills and 15-20 bass (only 1 potential keeper). Gaylord area Sunday, boated about 30 bass between 2 of us, mostly on Rapalas. A few gills on the beds but way behind most years.
