Fished out of Sterling State Park on 6/13 from 3:00p to 7:00p
We ended up with 13 walleye trolling harnesses on bottom bouncers.
On Saturday morning we fished from 8:00am to 2:00pm and ended up with 22 walleye. Same program. The larger walleye came on hot n tots off the planer boards. What a great day to be on the water.
Good Fishing,

I'm hoping to head out there on Friday, how deep of water were they in? Any certain color crawler harnesses working real good? Thanks.

on sat we did well in 22-23 FOW 2 miles north of sterling, on sun we did better in 24-25 FOW 1 mile south of sterling.
the best colors for both days were: bright pink blade with pink beads and pink float ball, hammered copper with red beads, larger silver/blue rainbow(northland brand) fish print, and a pearl rainbow trout color blade with pearl beads. All rigs on 3 oz BB's at a speed of .6 to .9 miles per hour. Make sure you keep them on the bottom, if you don't it seems as though the whites take your bait. Let em out, set the next rod, go back to the first and let it out till it hits again, go back to the 2,nd rod let it out till it hits and set out the 3rd, and do all of it again till all are constantly ticking bottom( not dragging or laying on their side)
when you get the "machine gun bite" of a whitey, just lift the rod high for a few seconds, and then drop it back down , and hopefully they have lost interest without too much damage to your worm. If you don't get a fish within 10 minutes, check the bait for weeds or vandalism!
hope this helps. I think if you find some fish, color really isn't as important as speed, and technique!

check the bait for weeds or vandalism!
speed is a key to success! vandalism i love it!. we wnt through about 15 dozen crawlers in 3 trips. only 3 doz the first trip.
