After deep frying the bird, can I keep the oil for another time?
If so, how do I store it , freezer? fridge ?
and how long will it keep?

Thanx.

Yes, you can reuse it. In my opinion it gets better the more you use it, especially if you use any seasoning on the turkey(or whatever you deep fry). It should last up to six months if you store it out of sunlight, in a cool place. I keep mine in the basement and date the container.

Happy deep frying :)

So did you have deep fried wild turkey for Fathers' Day ?
My request for Fathers' Day was wild turkey & dumplings. We had frozen some chunks of turkey & juice from one of our turkeys that we had roasted a while back. We also had lettuce from the garden & asparagus which came from the garden a couple of weeks ago. If only I had found enough morels to have frozen or dried then we could've hit for the cycle in our meal.
I love it when most or all of our meal comes from the land or our garden.

Yes we did. This was my first attempt at deep frying a bird.
Ever see the movie National Lampoons Christmas Vacation?
The bird turned out a bit like that one did, tho not quite as crunchy. I over cooked it a bit, but was still edible.
On a brighter note, the tater salad was excellent !! :)

Thanks for the tip rabbit whacker.

sure you can re-use it and it lasts longer if you strain it through a filter to remove any impurities. Brands vary if you read the recommended lifspan but between 6 months and a year is the norm. Just keep it in a cool dark place and bon-apetite!
