Three of us managed 9 walleyes and lost at least another 4 today out of Sterling State Park from 7:30 to 11:30. It seemed like they were biting pretty light. Most of fish were in 22 feet of water south of the stacks. We marked lots of fish all day, some on the bottom and some suspended. All fish but one came on BB with a harness. We took fish on both copper blades and fire tiger. We got three just legal, three between 16 and 18, and three between 19 and 21.
We tried drifting for half an hour, but couldn't buy a bite other than sheepies. We also pulled various hot-n-tots, warts, etc... off boards the entire time we were pulling harnesses and only got one undersized walleye on them. The spoon and dipsy rig did nothing, not even a white bass.
From what we heard on the radio, it was pretty slow all over, even out to West Sister.
