a friend of mine was on van etten tuesday morning. he got three walleyes north of the island pulling thunderstick juniors and inline boards. if you are familiar with the lake, he was north of the weed bed.

also if you are going to be in oscoda, they are getting some eyes off the pier# 14 husky jerks in fire tiger work well.

Going for a weeks vacation in a cabin on the lake. Never been to the east side, seem to hover on the west when i'm in michigan.

try difting crawlers, down by the islands,or near the mouth of the pine,low light times of day are best,escailly a hour or two before and after dusk.if you don't mind leaving van etten head over to the ausable drift from the r.r tresle down to the mouth of van etten,after dark this time year that area ,produces some big walleye i,with little pressure,most guys fish in town to the mouth.there is also great fishing in foote cooke ponds.
