I'm new to the board and I'm interested in fishing Lake ST Clair. I am from Indiana and I fished the lake last summer in late July and late August. My son and I really liked the lake. My question is: Is there a season for smallmouth on St Clair and if so when does it start? When we were up there last year I heard rumors of a season.

Jefferymac,

go to this link on the Michigan DNR website for the seasons because yes, there is a season on Lake St. Clair as noted in the table.

It opens the 3rd Saturday in June. This year that would be the 21st.
