I'll probably work a half day and hit the water around 1:00PM. Launching from the ramp just south of Metro Beach. I'll be going for walleye and maybe perch.

This will be my first time in LSC in my boat so I can use any info on locations or depths to try. From the reports it sounds like 12ft for walleye. If anyone has any hot spots, feel free to PM me.

I'll have the VHF, ch 68.

Anyone else going to be out there?

No hints here. I am still playing around making sure everything is just right for the 7th....... I had to order new drag washers for one of my Abu trolling reels. Geez whats up with them, an 18 year old reel needs maintenance???:D

I have to quit Salmon fishing and start hitting the pond. I haven't been out but I would try working in front of Metro Beach over to the Spillway. 12 fow maybe OK but I wouldn't be afraid to try in tight either. Stay away from the traffic and find some stained water to fish. Crawler harnesses on 3-way with 2 -3 oz. of lead should be in the ball park. When you hit a fish, mark the spot and come back through once or twice. That usually produces additional fish. Good luck, I hope you whack em! BTW, Perch have been hit and miss but feel free to send me a PM if you find them! ;)

1/2oz of lead is plenty. Slow troll. 1-1.5 mph. May be out there on Thurs nite. probably around 5-6pm.

Hey Mike, I assume you're long lining. I'm sure that works good in the shallower water. I usually run the 3-ways but in shallow water I use 11 1/2 foot light action rods to help get those boat shy fish. Both methods work well but I just prefer the 3-ways especially when the weeds get to be a problem. Just my opinion. BTW, 3 oz. is probably a bit much for calm conditions in shallow water but if your running 6 or 8 rods, use different weight combos to keep lines clear of each other. Good luck Brian!

Used 1/2 to 1 1/2 when using more than 2 poles in a boat to keep clear of others but 3/4 should be fine for planer boards correct or not? I like to use a small FLW crank bait that resembles the Ugly duck lures when in close to the boat though is a personal prefference it runs shallow for the 7 to 8 foot stained water they are in right now. Best yesterday was on a glow in the dark harness with green beads or a chartruese and gold blade with charteuese beads.
