I haven't used it but my dad drives by it daily, he says that there are usually some cars but its not like it is on the week-ends. I think South River would be a better option than Metro during the week. Considering how slow you have to go throught the black creek.

They have to have some sort of system in place for launching and retrieving. Why they have only 3 and not make it 4 has me baffled.
Will call the main office to see whats up. Too much confusion.

Crocker always seems to be a disaster even when there is a little traffic, especially when you are launching, most of the guys on the Lake just cruise on up making launching more difficult. Plus it is STILL SHALLOW

This launch flat out suchs. The DNR should fix this sorry excuse for a public facility immediately. Someone to direct incoming and out going trafffic would be a big improvement.
Metro is ok if you can stand the long put put to the big pond.
Clinton River DNR launch is tops in my book.

they really need to either designate launches for out and in or have someone there to direct. It is a pain last year was in line and some as% h&*$ pulled right on in past us and pulled up to the dock. We got into it pretty good but it wouldnt of happened if they would mark the docks.

Talked to the Dnr about the Crocker ramp. They are trying to hire a person to direct traffic on launches and retrievals. They did not dredge this spring (that was reported earlier). She said if the water gets any lower they will have to pull one dock and have only one remaining. The deepest water is right in the middle.

Does anyone know why they didnt dredge? I was told that is what took so long for them to open it?

They didn't dredge because they need a permit first and then they got to get some money. All they did was clean sediment from the concrete pads that had built up.
