Muskegon Lake is going to be a demonstration of extreme speed trolling. Actually Muskegon doesn't care about the fishing tourism. Muskegon was bought off and controlled by developers after our multimillion dollar Fisherman's Landing property and putting a casino in the downtown mall.

I don't see why they can't wait for the right weather conditions and do it on Lake Michigan???

Crawfish.....this is being attempted at the end of an annual poker run they have for the speedboats......with Muskegon being the final destination. It would be too hard to predict Lake Michigan forecast and make this happen within a reasonable amount of time.

Don't get me wrong....the timing isn't very good with it being the free fishing weekend. This event will probably pretty much shutdown Muskegon Lake for fishing.

Tom....I agree wholeheartedly with your statement about Fisherman's Landing!! If the city of Muskegon has it's way Muskegon Lake will be entirely lined with condo's. I really get a kick out of the whole Mart Dock issue. How long has Mart Dock been in business and city of Muskegon is going to tell them how to run their business.

It's a joke!!

solasylum, Did you make note that the two city council votes against Mart Dock and the complaints against the Verplank aggregate piles were by the council member and city mayor that were financed by Bultema stealing the Fisherman's Landing from the public.

Tom.....city of Muskegon right now is a classic symptom of the good ole' boys network!!

It is pretty ridiculous. Who's pockets are getting lined? It is a shame!!
