Pollywog,

I always use the Harley Ensign ramp at the end of South River Rd.

LOTS of parking and quite a few ramps. I haven't launched there that many times (Only had my boat a couple of years) but it's always been pretty smooth. But I usually launch there EARLY (about 5:30 a.m.) and get off the water about 11:30 or 12:00. That's about the time most of the traffic is just starting to think about getting out ON to the water.

Harley is alot better, 10 ramps and there is some method to the madness there. At least they have the ramps labeled in and out. I launched at the Spillway around 2pm, what a JOKE!!! Everybody on the water thought all ramps were out ramps after about 20 minutes of waiting I just forced my way in. The Spillway ramp used to have a person collecting $$$ and a person guiding traffic. I am glad that I won't be trying to get out on Saturday it will be very hectic with Musky opening.

BTW, Metro is a good ramp, long ride to the lake but when the weather is right, the chicken population is very NICE!! :D
