Anybody fish the Au Sable at all during the week? If so, how were the fish number's? Thinking about taking one last shot at them, thanks for any help, tight-lines.

I fished the river for awhile last Sunday, and there were decent numbers most places I fished. My 8 year old daughter hooked 4 and landed 2 on a 5 weight rod. All fish hooked on spawn (big bags with 12 Salmon eggs each). There were a ton of people at the High Banks, and we just motored through that mess. There were not many fish in that area, but we hooked a couple a little way downstream.

Oh I was there Sunday/Monday, I was just wondering about this Sunday, what do you think? I'm thinking it'll be a bout the same, for the last two weeks, I thought the run would be done, but I've been wrong, so...............? I seen quite a few chromers, but they could be the fly up and fly down type of fish.

The only chromers I have seen were spawned out hens, which just do not turn dark. The come in, lay their eggs, and drop back so quickly when the water is warm, that they do not get dark.
The dark fish are almost all males, and they will just keep spawning until they die.
