When I purchased my boat last August, it came fully equipped with absolutely everything needed to fish with. I generally fish only the lower Detroit river and maybe Brest bay on a rare occasion. My question is this: Should I keep the 2- 10' Eagle Claw Starfire #SF403 trolling rod matched with Shimano Triton Speedmaster 200GT reels to troll for walleye or trade/sell them for something shorter? I believe the previous owner used these mainly for steelies and salmon. I do plan on fishing Lake Erie alot more but these poles just seem to big for 'eyes. I'll be off the computer for the w/e so I'll check back on Monday. Thanks in advance for your opinions.

We just bought 11 1/2 foot rods for Brest bay walleye fishing.

I have 9 1/2 ft. daiwa heartland rods and they work very good for walleye and salmon.
